- This land has great beauty and a variety of game. The deer seemed plentiful. Abundance of wild raspberries.

- During the Louisiana purchase, the French offered them land for $15 million dollars. They didn't know what the land completely looked like, but they accepted it anyway.

- Lewis and Clark explored the Louisiana Purchase and thought the land was good, but they only traveled 123 miles out of the 8,000 miles there were.
