In scene 2, Mrs. Stevenson is picking up the phone trying to get ahold of her husband. The line is very busy, and the operator sends her to a line that is already in use. She overhears two men plotting a murder on the phone.
In scene 3, Mrs. Stevenson is pouring herself a glass of water and what we think are anxiety calming pills. The reason she is anxious is because she cannot get ahold of her husband.
In scene 4, the first man on the phone is explaining to George the plan for the murder. He is telling George that the coast is now clear for tonight, and to make the murder look like a simple robbery.
In scene 5, George is near the murder spot. He is receiving information from the first man, and is getting ready to go attempt the murder.
