Storyboard Text

  • The British Royal Palace 1713
  • Yes Your Majesty. They also have many soldiers in training there. There will be a war.
  • What! The French built a fortress in Louisbourg.
  • Replying to Your Majesty. The Acadians decide to remain neutral.
  • The Acadians are to sign the Oath of Allegiance saying " If the French and British go to war, the Acadians would fight for the British".
  • Nonsense. We can't deploy soldiers that fast. Who will the Acadians fight for?
  • Acadia 1713
  • In order to stay here you will have to sign the Oath of Allegiance saying that if the French and British go to war you will have to fight for the British.
  • No!
  • We refuse to fight for the British!
  • Acadia a few years later.
  • Why is my house on fire, I have not done anything wrong.
  • Not only that but anyone who refuses to sign the Oath of Allegiance will be shipped to the Thirteen Colonies.
  • You will be sent to the Thirteen Colonies.
  • No I don't want to go.
  • Approximately 263 years later. Present day Nova Scotia (Acadia).
