On October 1789 thousands of Parisian women rioted over the rising price of bread. They had knives, pitchforks, and marched on Versailles.They demanded the National Assembly to provide bread.

Rise of Napoleon
I'm Napolean, In 1804 I decided to make myself the emperor- supported by French voters.
Around 40,000 people were executed in France during the Reign of Terror. 200,00 were arrested. Committee of Public Safety made new laws like "Law of Suspects" and wanted to make "terror" a government policy.
Fall of Napoleon
King Louis XVI was convicted and condemned to death by a narrow majority and executed on January 21, 1793. Marie Antoinette was was convicted of treason by a tribunal and was executed on October 16, 1793.
In 1798, Napoleon led a military expedition to Egypt to political power. He engineered a coup in November 1799 and became First Consul of the Republic. His ambition and public approval made him go further, and in 1804 he became the first Emperor of the French.
It ended in 1815 during the Hundred Days with his defeat at the Battle of Waterloo. Napoleon died on May 5, 1821.
