  • In Versailles France the commoners met at the tennis court "Jeu de Paume" to protest and take a stand for a new constitution for France.
  • I agree upon the oath, and we shall not separate!
  • A new constitution for France!
  • The Storm of Bastille was the event that started the French Revolution. The troops stormed the fortress and prison.
  • An angry mob of 7,000 women walked in the pouring rain from Paris to Versailles chanting "Bread! Bread!" as a protest for the starving people of France.
  • Bread! Bread! Bread!
  • The Declaration of the Rights  of Man and the Citizen was passed by the National assembly. It stated the basic rights of the people and the poweres of which the government had upon them. After this all the people of France were named "citizens" with no class
  • we demand free speech!
  • We demand free religion!
  • In 1792 King Louis and Marie Antoinette were kept  in a jail until they were taken to a temple to be put on trial. King Louis was convicted of his crimes against the state. All of the people voted the King guilty and that soon lead to his death voted by the Jacobins. 
  • We are innocent!
  • The Reign of Terror was a bloody and treacherous year. With the radical groip the Jacobins in power over 37 000 people got executed by the guillotine. Any part of the noble family or food speculators were automatically.This group wanted to save the revolution and have power.
  • Off with his head!
