  • Habit 5: "Seek First to Understand, Then to be Understood"
  • Habit 7: "Sharpen the Saw"
  • Habit 3 is about taking control of your life and taking care of important matters before they become urgent. in Habit 3 you should prioritize and be able to take care of your problems immediately and swiftly. Don't let your important things become in your face, urgent things by putting them off. The only category you should be in is "Prioritizer", not "Yes -Man", not "Procrastinator", and definitely not a "Slacker".

  • Habit 5 is about understanding someone before you can be understood. When another person is talking to you, you shouldn't compare yourself to them. You must not talk about yourself when listening to someone, they are not asking for your input. You need to just listen to what they have to say.

  • Habit 7 is all about Renewing yourself. Every so often when we repeat something or it stays the same, it gets dull, so we need to "Sharpen the Saw". We can work on our mental dimension to make our mind sharper and more educated. You shouldn't stay same all the time, sometimes you have to make changes to better yourself. We need to also care for our soul because it makes us who we are, and falling into addiction is a downfall for our soul.

  • When habit 3 was applied to my life I had free time and nothing to pull me away from what I was doing. I had motivation to do things and put effort and complete them. I have been responsible for my school work and it makes me feel good about myself. Taking care of my own problems also makes me feel mature.
  • I've learned to listen to the person talking to me. When listening and talking to someone we always compare ourselves to them, when we shouldn't.  Sometimes people just need someone to listen and not talk. A thing I learned is that you really shouldn't ever talk about yourself when listening to someone or at all because it shows your selfish. I've learned this from the 7 habits book and from my own experiences and this apply's to any situation I've been in related to the topic. I'm the best friend I can be now.
  •  Over the summer of coming to eighth grade i wasn't happy with how my academics were looking and my physical shape, so i made a change. With my physical shape I weighed 180 lb, that was the heaviest i had ever been so I decided to cut back eating habits and exorcise more. Now  I've lost 40 lb and I'm at a steady 140 lb, and I've never been more proud and happy about my body. Then came school and all I really did was put a bit of effort into my classes and work and paid attention, while being responsible for everything I did. Now I'm going to High School and I'm due for another renewal.
