Habit 3 is all about prioritizing what needs to be done first.. To be begin, Important is your most important thing while urgent are things that need to be done as soon as possible. But what are the effects of prioritizing things? Well, you have control of your life, you have balance and high performance. On the flip-side if you are a slacker you feel a lack of responsibility, guilt and flakiness. To be a prioritizer it is suggested use a planner because it wil help you stay organized and be on track of what needs to be done. To plan out things that need to be done is another thing though, to do so you must first identify your big rocks. Then you need to lock out time for your "big rocks" and lastly schedule everything else. Your big rocks are a metaphor for your urgent things, such as that paper that is due tomorrow.
Habit 3: In Action
Synergy is about better working together to achieve something one could not have done alone. It is all about celebrating differences, completing teamwork, being open minded and finding newer and better ways. It is NOT about tolerating differences, working independently, thinking you're always right and compromising. The minority of one states we are all different in one way or another such in how we learn and that is why we should celebrate differences.
Habit 6: In Action
the 7th habit is about keeping yourself sharp to better deal with life. In order to deal with life in the most optimal way you must care for yourself in the 4 key dimensions; your body, brain, heart and soul by doing things such as exercising, reading, giving service and meditating. You must keep balance in all four because how you do in one effects the other three. It is also important to take a break when you need to in order to rejuvenate yourself and avoid burnout.
Habit 7: In Action
"First thing's first" has helped me prioritize what needs to be done first and helping me remember what needs to be done. Habit 3 has helped me not procrastinate willingly or unwillingly by helping me remember what needs to be done and when because it helps me keep track of what needs to be done at certain times with the usage of a planner .
I plan to implement Habit 6 in my life by working on interacting with my partner(s) in group activities by speaking up on what my opinions are, listening and implementing feedback in some way or form and continuously ask for their thoughts on subjects. This will help me develop Habit 6 because i will or should be able to work with people in groups better, I will also try to stop working ahead of partners and wait for them to be ready to begin answering the next question.
I will begin developing habit 7 by getting better at speaking louder to others so i can be heard as well as try to get better at speaking with strangers. This will help me develop habit 7 because I will be working on one of the four key dimensions, that being the dimension of the heart. The cause of me being able louder and better with strangers will improve my social skills leading to me talking to those who i am not familiar with be left with a better impression than the ones i do today.
