Hey, guys. I thought I just heard you talk about God. Locke, Descartes, do you not believe in God?
...and that's why I believe that everything is made up of one substance: God. I mean, what other explaination could there be?
I'm not sure I agree. I think an object has essential and accidental causes.
Not a dentist, you moron. A DEIST. It means that I believe in God but I just think that cares a whole lot about the world. I mean, I believe that he created the universe but he doesn't bother intervening.
Oh well, now that you mention it, although I'm quite interested in religion and faith, I'd have to say that I'm a deist.
What!? I never knew you were a dentist!
Well, like Locke, I believe that God created all human beings but we have our own free will and the ability to choose to do as we want.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but I have to agree slightly with Locke on this one.
Well, that's a first!
That's cool and all. But I've got to say that I just don't believe in that. I'm a pantheist, which means that I honestly believe that everything exists in God. And as for what you said about free will, I don't think that we have it. I mean, we all follow the same rules as nature, so since nature doesn't have free will, neither do we.
Wow, that's cool. Although you're wrong, we can talk about it over lunch. I'm starving.
