The radiation destroys life
It is the middle of the night of the Chernobyl power plant. The workers there are testing the nuclear reactor. the test starts to get out of hand but one scientist working there insisted to continue the test.
The radiation causes sickness
The test failed and the nuclear reactor exploded. When the reactor exploded it sent a lot of nuclear radiation in the air. It also created a huge fire. Two workers died when the reactor exploded.

The nuclear radiation started to spread everywhere across Europe because of air currents. It damaged the land, polluted the waters, and killed animals.

The nuclear radiation got everywhere. It caused people to get extremely sick. Some of the sicknesses include: thyroid cancer, autoimmune disorders, birth defects, and other severe health problems.

After the nuclear explosion in Chernobyl, Chernobyl became a ghost town. There is so much radiation there that it is impossible to live there. It is now home to many animals, that are wandering in the area. It is also open for tours. It is likely Chernobyl will not be able to support life for a long time.
