  • This is when Miss Skeeter tells Aibileen that they need at least 12 maids to interview.  Quote: I think about how easy I thought it would be, three months ago, to get a dozen maids to talk to me. Like they'd just been waiting all this time, too spill their stories to a white woman. how stupid I'd been. (page 282) 
  • “The Road Back”
  • This is when Aibileen had to tell Miss Skeeter what happen to her Maid Constantine. Aibileen wrote it out so she wouldn't have to talk about it right to her. Quote: "fore I give you this to you... I think I ought to tell you some things. So you can really understand." I nod. I am tense in my chair. I want to tear the envelope open and get this over with. (Page 421) 
  • “Atonement”
  • This is when Miss Skeeter Told Aibileen and Minny that the book is being printed but there won't be very many copies printed as of right now.  Quote: "Listen, she said not to get excited. That the number of copies they're going to put out is going to be very, very small." I wait for Aibileen to Frown, but she giggles. She tries to hide it with her hand. (Page 453)
  • “The Return”
  • This is when the  book Aibileen help write was on TV and they said not to buy it and that it might be about Jackson, Mississippi. Aibileen still wanted peopel to buy it and more be printed. Quote: "Jolione, did you read that ending? About the pie? If my maid, Bessie Mae, is out there listing, Bessie Mae, I have a new respect for what you do everyday. And I'll pass on the chocolate pie from now on! Ha-Ha-Ha--" (Page 470)
  • This is when Miss Skeeter tells Aibileen that they are printing more books because the stores are wanting more. They think they might be printing at least 5000 more books.  Quote: "The stores are asking for more books, Aibileen. Missus Stein called this afternoon." She take mu hands. "they're going to do another print run. Five thousand more copies. (Page 511)
  • This is when Aibileen is walking home after she was fired from her job as being a maid at Miss Leefolt's. She is returning home back to the way it normally was for now. Quote: The paper gone pay me 10 dollars a week, and there's the book money plus a little more coming. Still, it ain't enough for me to live the rest a my life on. I ain't gone be able to get no other job as a maid, noot with Miss Leefolt adn Miss Hilly calling me a thief.  (Page 522)
