Storyboard Text

  • Principle 1: Genetic Variation
  • Principle 2: Overpruduction and the Struggle to Survive
  • Principle 3: Different Survival and Reproduction (Survival of the Fittest)
  • The rabbits in the image above have different fur traits. Some of the rabbits have adapted and now grow brown fur.
  • Principle 4: Change in the Gene Pool
  • Due to the lack of snow fall, the white rabbits are spotted more easier and are more likely to get eaten by predators. Since the brown rabbits blend into their environment they have a higher fitness than the white rabbits.
  • Adaptation
  • Organism: rabbit Environment: forest Trait selected for: fur color Adaption type: physical
  • The white rabbits are being eaten and killed because they no longer have a camouflage. The rabbits are rarely getting killed.
  • Biology
  • The rabbits that were white have all died off. The only rabbits that are left are brown and have reproduced creating a new generation.
