  • Virginia Plan
  • Judial, executive, legeslative... Based on population
  • The Articles of Confederation were put together after the war of independece and were documents agreed upon by 13 states that seved as rules and guidlines for the american goverment to follow.
  • New Jersey Plan
  • Every one should have equal ammount of representation
  • Shays Rebelion was a series of protest that were caused because of angry american farmers once the enforcement of taxes and gudgment of dept. If the request to the farmers were not followed they would be hung, shot, or imprisioned.
  • Great Comprimise
  • smaller states say we should all be equal towards representation
  • The Virgina Plan happened when a group of delegates tried to work on designing a new government once they noticed that the goverment was too weak. This plan created 3 diffrent branches of government, legeslative, executive, and judial and proposed the number of legeslators based on the states population in order to keep America fair.
  • 3/5 Comprimise
  • 3 out of 5 slaves
  • The New Jersey Plan was a proposal of the structure of America. It was introduced to the Constitutional Convention by William Paterson, a New Jersey delegate and enforced the rule that every state should have an equal ammount of legeslators not considering the population.
  • The Great Comprimise was a proposal that combined the Virginia plan and New Jersey plan. This happened because the smaller states and the larger states could not agree with eatchother. The smaller states believed that all states should get the same ammount of representatives, however the larger states wanted the ammount of representatives to be dertermined by the size of population.
  • No larger states want for the representation to be determined on population.
  • The 3/5 Comprimise was an outline that explained the proccess for states to count slaves to determine represtentation. The Southern states wanted to count all slaves toward the population for representation purposes but did not want to be taxed on the slaves because they considered them property. The Northern states did not want all the slaves counted toward the population because that would take representation away from the north. So they came to an agreement that 3 out of 5 slaves would be counted towards representation.
