Storyboard Text

  • Perseus was the son of Danaë and Zeus. After he had grown up on the island of Seriphus, King Polydects of Seriphus tricked Perseus into promising to get the head of Medusa
  • From the help of Athena and Hermes, Perseus forced Graiae, by getting the one eye and tooth the sisters shared. And so Graiae had to help him by giving him a curved sword to decapitate Medusa and a bag to keep medusa's head, and where the location of Medusa was.
  • With the help of his shield he slowly crept up on Medusa without looking at her, and he beheaded Medusa as she was sleeping.
  • As he was going back to Seriphus with the Medusa head he encountered the princess Andromeda tied to a rock because the oracle said to Andromeda's father that if the sea monster saw Andromeda the ills would disappear. But when Perseus saw her he fell in love with Andromeda and used the Medusa head to turn the monster into stone
  • Together they went back to Seriphus and rescued his mother by turning king Polydects and his supporters into stone with the sight of Medusa. Afterwards Perseus and Andromeda married.
  • Later Perseus gave Athena the Medusa head and Athena took the Medusa head and put it on her shield. He also gave Hermes his clothing and his equipment.
