Principle 2: Overproduction and the struggle to survive
Principle 3: Differential Survival and Reproduction
There are different color rattlesnake that are within the population. There are Red Diamond rattlesnakes and regular rattlesnakes. The color of there skin were passed on by their parents.
Principle 4: Change in the Gene Pool
There are too many red diamond rattlesnakes offspring being born in a environment that is not suited for them. The red diamond rattlesnake struggles to stay alive because they are easy prey to hawks since they are easier to spot.
In this scenario the fittest would be the rattlesnakes since it camouflage better to its environment. However the red diamond rattlesnakes doesn't camouflage to its environment so its easier for the red diamond rattlesnakes to be be spotted by predators.
