The crest is the highest part of the wave and the trought is the lowest part of the wave
I put were the wavelegth and resting point is located up on the baord
Well A transverse wave is a moving wave that is made up of oscillations happening perpendicular to the direction of energy transfer. It can also mean that it is a wavethat causes the medium to vibrate amazingly \ at right angles to the direction in which they travel parallel to each other.
Student as you could see in the board a tranverse wave is like a wave in the ocen. But a tranverse wave is diffrent. A transverse wave hase a crest, trough, wavelegth, amplitude and a resting poin.
The red line is restingpoint to crest Black line is the resting point to trough
In a transverse wave the crest is the highest part of the wave. The trought is the lowest part of the wave.
Blue = resting point to trough Amplitude
Plese label everthing
Red = crest to resting point Amplitude
A transverse wave also has a resting point and a wavelegth. The resting point is the line in the middle and trhe wavelegth can be shown from crest to crest or trough to trough.
Another thing I am going to talk about today is the amplitude. The amplitude can be found from the restingpoint to the crest or the restingpoint to the trough
Know that we are all done and you know were everthing is at do I have any volenteers to come up and label the everthing were it goose
