Whats a transverse wave?
A transverse wave is one type of a mechanical wave.
Whats a medium?
The medium is the material a mechanical wave travels through.
Transverse waves move the medium up and down
Transverse waves have resting positions halfway between crests and troughs
The crest is the highest point of the wave and the trough is the lowest
These waves also have amplitude and wavelength. Amplitude is the maximum distance the particles of a medium move
The wavelength is the distance between two corresponding points
Light waves, an audience wave, and radio waves are all examples of a transverse wave
Very interesting. Thank you
