Storyboard Text

  • Emily and Ian Gough, sitting in their parlor, watching a modern version of Othello.
  • Iago is such a wonderful, brave, and HONEST friend to dear Othello, don't you agree?
  • This plebian does not see Iago's doings!
  • Ian confronts Emily of her misinterpretation of Othello.
  • Whaat?!
  • Just like Othello, you're blinded by what is on the outside!
  • Ian goes further into depth on Othello, regarding its flawed characters.
  • Goodness gracious, he let the bat out again!
  • The play represents dishonesty and the misconceptions faced by those doomed to Iago's treachery.
  • Later that night, just after sinking their teeth into dinner...
  • So you're telling me Iago's intentions lie on getting revenge on Othello for an act he did not even commit?
  • Emily realizes the truth: Iago convinced Othello to murder his wife in cold blood... For revenge.
  • That's right, he turned those around him against each other for his own satisfaction!
  • Poor Othello, loving husband turned vicious murderer. Poor Desdemona, innocent, faithful wife of such murder.
  • To conclude...
  • However, many question Othello's nobility, as he was so convinced by Iago, he his impulsive-self and rash decisions led to the death of his very own wife.
  • That was a close one.. Iago almost tricked me too!
