  • The United States used the Lend-Lease Act to neutrally provide food weapons and munitions to allied forces.
  • While most of the men were drafted and were away fighting in Europe most of the jobs were taken over by women who wanted to help their country in anyway they could.
  • This picture shows one of the D-day invasions. Allied troops landed on beaches and had to punch a hole through the German defenses to start the liberation of France.
  • To start the war in the Pacific and the USA's involvement in WW2, Japan dropped bombs on the United States' military base in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.
  • The United States were going to decide whether to drop the new atomic bomb or to risk millions of lives in a conquest across the Japanese mainland.
  • After WW2 two super powers were present, America and Russia. These two countries had apposing views, these two views started a conflict now known as the cold war.
