  • The French and Indian War was a conflict between France and Great Britain over territory in North America.
  • Then in 1754 the governor of Virginia sent soldiers to kick the French out of Western Pennsylvania. They were led by colonel named George Washington.
  • The war started in 1754.
  • The war ended in 1763.
  • The French wanted to control all the trade in their territory.
  • WE WON!!!
  • Unlike Britain, France didn't build farms and towns on Indian land. 
  • The war lasted from 1754 to 1863.
  • From 1758 to 1760, the British won victory after victory, ultimately winning the war in 1763!
