Mary Ludwig Hays was born on October 13th, 1754. She lived with her Father, Mother and brother Johann. In 1768 her and her family moved to Pennsylvania. She lived with her family until she was a teenager and married William Hays.
Molly is a common name for people named Mary. Molly got her last name pitcher from solders calling "Molly! Pitcher!" because they wanted water.
Once a British cannon ball flew inbetween Molly's legs and riped her skirt. Molly earned her bravery by shooting the cannon ball after her husband collapsed in the 100 degreas weather.
After William died Molly married John McCaul.
