In 1754, the French and English began to fight over territory in North America.
Also that year, the governor of Virginia sent soldiers to kick the French out of Western Pennsylvania.
The French wanted to control all trades in their territories.
The french started building military forts to keep the english out.
George Washington started to lead and teach the English to fight against the French.
In 1763, Great Britain won and took over almost all of the east Mississippi and Canada too.
