  • In 1754, the French and English began to fight over territory in North America.
  • Also that year, the governor of Virginia sent soldiers to kick the French out of Western Pennsylvania. 
  • The French wanted to control all trades in their territories.
  • The french started building military forts to keep the english out.
  • George Washington started to lead and teach the English to fight against the French.
  • In 1763, Great Britain won and took over almost all of the east Mississippi and Canada too.
