  • Your memory goes through a process. The first step of this process is encoding. Encoding allows information to be converted into a construct that will later be stored in the brain. Once encoded, it can be recalled from either short or long term memory.

  • You can have an implicit or explicit memory, in terms of memory storage. Implicit memory are things people don't purposely try to remember. This memory is both unconscious and unintentional. You aren't able yo bring it into awareness. Implicit memories rely on the basal ganglia and cerebellum
