Storyboard Text

  • Exposition
  • Conflict
  • They are aliens that look like humans!
  • Rising Action
  • It starts in Maple Street, U.S.A. It's 6:43 p.m. The neighborhood is lined with trees. Suddenly, there is a big flash of light that occurs over the entire street. All the phones are dead and the electricity turns off. That is when people start to worry.
  • Climax
  • Tommy tells all of the neighbors about the comic book stories he reads and tells them that this is just like a story he read. he told them how "they"  shut all the power and phones off to make them stay here. This started to worry all the people in the neighborhood and making them think that there might actually be monsters.
  • Falling Action
  • After Tommy had frightened the whole neighborhood, people started accusing each other of being the monsters. They started accusing each person each by each for various reasons. Many people were confused and didn't know what to think anymore.
  • Resolution
  • Everyone had started to freak out when they saw a dark shadow in the distance  and someone when to go grab their gun. Nobody was going to risk their lives, but at the same time, nobody wanted to shoot. Charlie decided to take matters into his own hands. He held up the gun and pulled the trigger. As soon as the unknown object had fallen onto the ground, everyone ran after to see the horrifying beast. It was a monster. Why in fact, it was their own neighbor, Pete Van Horn.
  • Because Charlie was the one who pointed the gun, everyone believed that he must have been the monster to have done such a thing. He said, "You know why I shot! How was I supposed to know he wasn't a monster or something?" Nobody believed him. Charlie started accusing Tommy because he was the ones who made the story up. Still no one believed him because Tommy was only but a boy.
  • The people didn't know what to do anymore. They were so scared and confused, that chaos began. People had gotten there guns out and threatened each other. Others had started throwing things at each other's houses and other people were trying to run away from danger. This comes only to show us that fear can do strange things to people and that you should never let it consume you or others.
