  • This chapter was talking about how Chicago was before the fire and the Chicago river that had over flowed and they were talking about how i want in to the main branch of Chicago.
  • Chapter 4
  • This chapter was talking about how the buildings were made and how poor people and to share a wooden old house with another family.
  • This chapter talks about how the fire started, it started when Mrs.O'Leary's cow kicked over a lantern in her barn then their was a newspaper that talked about how the fire started.
  • This chapter talks about how much of the ground it burned and it burned 4 square miles (10 sq. km), about 17,450 structures burned, 3,650 buildings were destroyed, about one-third of the population was left homeless. The fire caused $200 million in damage that's about 3.9 billion in today's money.
