Romeo and Juliet meet secretly in Friar Lawrence's cell. He marries them with hopes of ending the feud,
You are now joined in holy matrimony. You may kiss the bride!
But the audience knows bad things are to come. Tybalt kills Mercutio, and Romeo kills Tybalt and is banished from Verona.
Here is to sweet dreams of my Romeo!
Of course, Juliet is terribly upset because she can't see Romeo. She and the Friar hatch a plan to make her appear dead, but she will only be asleep, so she can run off to be with Romeo.
Alack, alack, my lady Juliet is dead!
This is a tragedy, so of course, the plan doesn't work. Romeo doesn't know Juliet is not really dead and goes to the Capulet tomb to kill himself. Juliet wakes up just as Romeo drinks the poison and dies. Then Juliet kills herself. So ends the feud.
