Storyboard Text

  • Why did that apple fall?
  • I wonder if the same force that pulled the apple to the ground is tugging on the moon.
  • I'm going to drop objects to test gravity.
  • I'm assuming that all physical objects have a force of attraction between them.
  • My hypothesis was correct! The strength of the force of attraction between object depend on the masses of the object and the distance between them.
  • The moon and Earth tugged on each other, and the moon got stuck in orbit around Earth. In contrast, an apple had a small mass and was close to Earth, so gravity dragged it to the ground.
