Storyboard Text

  • Once upon a time, a long, long time ago in the Dream Time there was a greedyfrog called Tiddalick. Tiddalick wanted to be the biggest frog in all the land. One very hot day Tiddalick was very thirsty so he began to drink and drink anddrink until the whole billabong was all dried up. They were very angry at him. If the animals wanted to get all the water out of Tiddalick and back into the billabong, they needed a plan
  • The animals held a meeting. "What shall we do", said kookaburra? "That greedy frog has drunk it all", said emu and kangaroo. Wombat was the wisest of all the animals and said " We shall make Tiddalick laugh. If we can make him laugh, all the water will come out of his mouth". "What a good idea", said the other animals. They went back to the billabong where they found Tiddalick, not moving one inch.
  • The Emu and the kangaroo tried to make tiddalick laugh by jumping over each other. It didn't work. Tiddalick stayed still, still not moving. Wombat tried to make Tiddalick laugh by waddling. It didn't work.
  • Next up was echidna. He tried rolling around in a ball. It still didn't work. Kookaburra tried to make the big frog laugh by pretending to fall down from the tree. It had not worked. The animals were thirstier than ever and the sun was at it's highest. It was all up to Snake.
  • Snake started a slithering dance. Tiddalick wasn't laughing. The animals were thrstier than ever, the sun was at the highest and all hope was lost. Suddenly, Snake started to get out of control! She twisted and turned and tied herself in a knot!
  • Tiddalick started to giggle. The giggle became a chuckle and soon it became a laugh. Water gushed out of his mouth and filled up the whole billabong again. All the animals congratulated Snake and finally got a drink. From that day on, Tiddalick only drank what he needed.
