476 C.E The Western Roman Empire fell to invading barbarians, which left Europe in chaos.
800 C.E Charlemagne is crowned Holy Roman by Pope Leo iii, making his empire, the Holy Roman Empire.
"Make me proud, son."
481 C.E Clovis became leader of the Franks at the age of fifteen! His rule lasted 30 years, during that he: defeated the last great Western Roman army in Soissons, Gaul, and he helped the Franks convert to Christianity.
"Yayyy, my turn!"
511 C.E Clovis dies at the age of 45, marking an end to his prosperous reign. His death had also had a huge effect on his people, his death left the Frankish Kingdom in chaos.
"Well, I've got a kingdom to fix." "Hey peasants, stop doing that!"
768 C.E After years of chaos, Charlemagne starts his rule and unites the Frankish Kingdom. Rumor has its that Charlemagne himself was illiterate, even though he encouraged education and scholarship throughout the kingdom .
"I decree that Charlemagne is crowned Holy Roman Emperor!! Praise the Lord!!"
814 C.E Charlemagne died, and left his kingdom in chaos. This happened even though he left his kingdom in a good position. He secured lots of land, and made an ally with the Catholic Church.
"They better not take my crown!"
