  • Flat: ¨Daddy was a tall man, a little over 6 feet four, with broad shoulders.¨ Dad wasn´t really in the story but he was mentioned  Point Of View: first person point of view

  • Climax: Melba changed when she met Link, she changed her style (clothing wise) and her personality Resolution: A black girl became student body president

  • Rising action: when Melba got the letter that she would be one of the few to integrate Central High Antagonists: basically everyone in the book who bullied Melba
