  • About 96% of all species such as amphibians, early reptiles, insects, trilobites, sea scorpions, and corals went extinct at this time.
  • Triassic came after Permian with new species like dinosaurs the first mammals & crocodiles.

  • Tectonic plate movement caused volcanoes to erupt underwater, affecting mainly ocean creatures
