A 14-year-student named James Ingraham at Drew Junior High School, was having rowdy behavior during class.
James was then send to the principal's and was swatted him 5 times with a padel.
James refused the punishment because he did not do anything wrong. The principal then held him down for a while giving him 20 more swats.
In result, James had lots of bruises that made him stay out of school for 10 days.
The outcome of this case was The Courts left the question of whether to allow corporal punishments up to the states and local districts.
I believe teens should understand that beating is not okay. They should understand that consequences come for their action but in a certain measure. I think beating should never be a option and all we ca do it learn from this.
