Storyboard Text

  • (4.5.9)
  • I needs must wake her. Madam, madam, madam.
  • What is going on?!
  • (4.1.85-86)
  • (4.5.23)
  • Nurse, go waken Juliet.
  • For cell 1 I chose the quote "I needs must wake her. Madam, madam, madam" (4.5.9). When Juliet took that mixture to make her sleep for 42 hours or "fake her death". So when the Nurse went to wake Juliet for her wedding day, she wouldn't wake. Therefore, Nurse calls Lady Capulet to help.
  • (4.5.38)
  • While talking to Friar Lawrence, Juliet describes a tomb "Or bid me go into a new-made grave/ And hide me with a dead man in his shroud" (4.1.85-86).
  • (3.1.115-116)
  • Throughout scenes 4 & 5 there is the dramatic irony where the Nurse, Lord Capulet, and Lady Capulet don't know that Juliet took a mixture to make her sleep for 42 hours. In scene 5, Nurse says "She's dead, deceased, she's dead. Alack the day!" (4.5.23). This shows how she didn't know that Juliet was just sleeping from a mixture.
  • (4.1.18)
  • In cell 4, I chose to show the personification Lord Capulet uses. Being "Death is my son-in-law" (4.5.38). Therefore in this cell I showed death marrying Juliet. This is personification because people marry other people, death can't marry.
  • Death
  • Romeo is to blame for all of the bad events that have gone on because he fell "in love". He started ignoring his friends and just started seeing Juliet. In scene 1 or act 3, Romeo says "This day's black fate on more days doth depend./ This but begins the woe others must end" (3.1.115-116). He said that after Mercutio was stabbed. If Romeo hadn't fallen in love with Juliet, the fight wouldn't have happened.
  • Throughout all of Act 4, there are multiple cases of dramatic irony. This cell shows how nobody really knew that Romeo and Juliet are married, even when Prince was planning to marry her. In scene 1, Paris says "Happily met, my lady and my wife" (4.1.18). This quote just shows how Prince thinks Juliet is his wife, when she is really Romeo's.
  • little does he know I married Romeo
  • I will marry you
