  • Mr. Ewell
  • Thought I herd something. Stop a minute.
  • Jem
  • After the Halloween part, Scout and Jem are walking home near the Radley house.
  • Scout
  • Suddenly, they are attacked. Jem goes down, and Scout is saved by a mysterious rescuer.
  • Ahhhh!
  • *Crunch*
  • Arthur (Boo) Radley
  • Soon, Atticus arrives. Jem is carried home with a broken arm, but alive. Soon, the doctor and the sherif arrive. He reports that Mr. Ewell was the attacker, and is now dead.
  • Atticus
  • Scout
  • Mr. Heck Tate
  • Mr. Tate asks Scout to tell him what happened. She identifies Arthur (Boo) Radley as the man who helped them.
  • Why there he is, ... Hey, Boo,
  • Who was it?
  • Dragging him with his shy ways into the limelight-to me, that's a sin. Bob Ewell fell on his knife. Good night, sir.
  • Atticus and Mr. Tate discuss what happened. they agree that Mr. Ewell fell on his knife, even though they knew it was Arthur.
  • Than you for my children, Arthur.
  • Jem must have gotten up. At least I thought...
  • Boo was our neighbor. He gave us ... our lives. Atticus was right. One time he said you never really know a man untill you stand in his shoes and walk around in them.
  • After they go visit Jem, Scout walks Mr. Arthur home. While standing on his porch, she reflects on the events of the past few years. She finally understands Boo Radley.
