Storyboard Text

  • Why did you  want to meet me  here ?
  • I wanted to   remember what clean water looked like
  • It is only   2050 and  our world is dying .    Carbon     dioxide   from   fossil-fuel power plants , vehicles and oil refineries are causing  acid rain. Wild  life, and forests are dying . There  are no more fresh water lakes and streams .  When was the last time  you had fresh meat or sea food?
  • What  is acid rain ayway
  • It is rain that contains acidic components, like sulfuric acid
  • Acid rain can  make soil and water uninhabitable .  As  the level of acidity rises, fish die off.  Most can't survive a water pH below 5.  When the pH becomes a 4, the lake is dead.
  • We knew this could happen.  The pH scale measures acidity and alkalinity. 7 is the middle and is neutral.  1 is the most acidic.  Most of our natural bodies of water are now at 5.  That's too acidic for life to survive.
  • If only we had  reduced our use of fossil fuels in time, stopped using combustible engines and  turned to renewable energy sooner.  Now we can never return here again.
