Over many years we been polluting the oceans to the point where it can't take anymore pollution. 5.25 trillion pieces of plastic is currently the amount over plastics that's in the ocean. "It would be as if vacuuming the living room and someone standing at the door with a dust fan"
Fish are disapearing rapidly due to "Bottom Trawling." About 1 in 5 fish sold in every shop have been caught illegally! Scientists say the way to save our oceans is in our hands, "The next several decades will be in those which choose the fate of the marine life."
Why aren’t we doing more is the question we should be asking. Global warming affects every country in the world. According to the text,”Ecologists insist it's not too late to solve the problems affecting our oceans. Some schemes, such as the introduction of "safe zones" where fish can naturally replenish, have worked on a small scale and could be expanded” but we would need everyone on our side.
