  • He kept his blinds closed, so he wouldn't see New York City.
  • After Gatsby death, Nick couldn't handle looking at the tinted house, so he moved to New York
  • Not good. This town in ruined for me. Everything is ruined for me: You, Daisy, this lifestyle.
  • How are you Nick?
  • When I close my eyes, I see these eyes looking back at me. They are judging who I have become. You may not feel any guilt, but that is not me.
  • I have no where else to go, and my job is here. Some people need to make money and have a job. 
  • If you hate New York so much, why are you staying?
  • I want nothing to do with you. I want to forget everything.
  • Nick that will lead to a very unhappy life.
  • Nick left the valley of ashes and never returned. Jordan was correct-- he lived a very unhappy life.  He only left his apartment to go to work.
  • At least it is not this life. Goodbye Jordan!
