The women took the duties on top of their own , the supplies were short they also took nursing duties.

It was important because when the men left because the women worked hard to survive it impacted the south a lot.
One thing that was surprising almost all the shoes the southerners wore were manufactured in the north.
The home-front of the south was a positive impact on our nation because they helped with farms & helped with the wounded soldiers
when the men came back they wanted their jobs back for examples the farms but them women worked too hard and didn't want to give them back
