Steve Harmon Black, sixteen, accused of murder, skinny, Static because he claims he wasn't a part of the murder and will document the whole trial. I don't think that's going to change. Steve is the protagonist because we follow his story throughout the book and how he tries to get out of trouble.
Kathy O'Brien Lawyer, small, red hair, freckles, business like Static because throughout the book she is on Steve's side and is trying to help him through the case. She teaches him how to talk and act in front of the jury.
James King 23, thug, robber, jerk, on trial for murder Static through the book King doesn't really say a word and his lawyer doesn't put him on the stand to say why King is not gulty.
Mr. Briggs King's lawyer, white hair, blue eyes, professional Static because the whole time he is helping King. We don't get much insight on how they react but he is for King to be innocent.
Sandra Petrocelli Prosecutor, looks intense, attractive, dark hair and eyes I find her hard to tell if static or dynamic for the reason that she flips back and forth between if steve/King are guilty. At one point she'll say he's guilty but then she'll say he's innocent.
Bobo Evans Jerk, part of a gang, robbed a store, wants to rat anyone he can out. Static, when he was put on trial he confessed and ratted out King, I think Bobo is the main antagonist because he tries to rat everybody out and get them in trouble.
