  • Partricians
  • Backgrounds and Outfits
  • I choose the background to be some government buildings because Patricians were often government leaders and were known to be preists because of their knowlege of the gods. They are wearing purple togas because emperors and magistrates wore purple.
  • The background for the Plebians is the colosseum because for emtertainment emperors would let plebians watch shows in the colosseum for free. They often wore the color white.
  • Plebeians
  • Patcians came from the Latin word meaning father. These people were born the natural right to govern the city. Patricians were elected to office and had the power of a king. They were offten preists because of their special knolegde of the gods.
  • The people in the Plebian class were in the lower of the two social classes. They were often commoners or they would do jobs such as farmers, bakers, builders, or craftsmen. Most Plebians could not write. Many emperors such as Augustus gave them free food and entertainment in the collosum so they would not riot against Rome.
