Moe Berg was recruited by the OSS due to his fluency in over 10 different languages. His language fluency got him very many job opportunities. Pg. 150
Berg was given a mission to go to Germany. His objective was to conduct a conclusion if the German's and Werner Heisenberg were making an atomic bomb. If he concluded that they were, he was ordered to assassinate Heisenberg. Pg . 150
Berg attended the conference on December 18, 1944, in Zurich, Switzerland. He brought a notebook in one pocket to make him a appear as a curious Swiss student, but in the other pocket was a pistol in case he needed to assassinate Heisenberg. Also, he carried a cyande tabet just in case he needed it. Pg.152
After attending the conference with Heisenberg, Berg was to report his conclusion and anything he thought might be of importance. Berg believed that the Germans were of no threat with a bomb anytime soon, and he also believed that America had a great chance at winning the war. Pg. 152
Berg reported his conclusion to the OSS after returning to the US on April 25th, 1945. Berg also resigned from the OSS and went into retirement from being a spy. Pg. 153
In 1952, Berg was hired by the CIA to use his old contacs from World War II. However his information was slim and did not provide much help for the CIA. Pg. 153
