  • when Ralph and Jack choose Simon to join them on their expedition of the island it shows that Simon appears to be a strong member of the group.
  • Simon is a young boy with blonde hair
  • The authors attitude towards Simon is very kind, gentle and open minded
  • Simon, while being one of the smaller ones of the group, portrays dominant traits such as courage,curiosity and understanding.
  • My reaction to Simon was positive, as he was explained as a fair and gentle person who was not corrupted by power.

  • Ralph is one of the oldest boys in the group with brown hair
  • Ralph portrays dominant traits of leadership, compromise and patience
  • "Which is better. Law and rescue, or hunting and breaking things up?"-Chapter 11

  • My reaction to Ralph was that he was a strong and fairly reasonable leader that is willing to hear peoples ideas and perform them in a civil manner.

  • My reaction to piggy was that he had a lot of smart ideas but seemed too weak to the others for anyone to listen to him
