Storyboard Text

  • We believe that there should be BICAMERAL Legislation, both proportional to populations.
  • AND, all slaves shall be counted as population.
  • But NOT counted for taxation. We have more people, we should get more votes!
  • New Jersey Plan
  • BUT counted for taxation. Smaller states are still states too!
  • We believe that there should be UNICAMERAL Legislation, with equal representation.
  • AND, no slaves shall be counted as population.
  • Roger Sherman
  • Gentlemen! There is no need for dispute! Begin compromising with counting 3/5 of slaves for population AND taxation!
  • That seems to be fair enough.
  • House Of Representatives
  • There can be TWO legislative houses. The Senate, with equal representation, and The House Of Representatives with Direct/Proportional representation.
  • Senate
  • Now we can finally create a constitution and begin to build the country!
