Prior to the meeting revolving around the decision to make slaves count as population and if they were to be, then they need to decide if taxation needs to be placed on counting them
We think accounting slaves as population is unfair, and if they are to be counted then there should be tax
We want slaves counted as population and we don't want taxation on our slaves
Together, the delegates agreed on 3/5 of the slaves in a certain state may be counted for the states total population. Although, counting of 3/5 of the slaves will be taxed. This is called the 3/5 compromise.
