Sorry to tell you... your husband was in a train crash... and he is one of the people that died.
Exposition: Louise, Josephine's sister tells her that her husband was killed in a train accident and begins to cry. Richard, Josephine's husband's friend, is also there.
My freedom and opportunities are gone!! :-(
Rising Action: Josephine goes to her room but then starts to feel happy, realizing all the things she can do now that she is “free” which she is reminded of as she looks out the window looking at the surrounding nature.
Climax: Louise goes down the stairs with Josephine as her husband walks through the door. Richard tries blocking Josephine from seeing her husband.
RIP Josephine Mallard
Falling Action: Josephine's happiness drastically fades as she realizes that she no longer can have the freedom she has been yearning for and looking forward to because of her husband actually being alive.
Resolution: Josephine dies from the utter sadness that came upon her which was too much to handle for her weak heart.
