  • I stood my kitchen listening to the soft creaking of the floorboards. I knew that I shouldn't be doing this, but I had no other choice. I was HUNGRY and needed food in my system.
  • Climax
  • Sights of soft, milk chocolate, and salty chips soared through my imagination. If my parents caught me out here this late they would kill me. Searching for food at 1:00 AM on a school night was not the most ideal for their 12 year old daughter.
  • Falling Action
  • I searched through the pantry and spotted a bag of crunchy, salty potato chips. I grabbed the bag and made sure that was what I wanted, but at this point it didn't even matter, I would eat anything right now.
  • Resolution
  • I took the bag and started tip toeing over to the stairs to head up to my room. I didn't pay much attention to my surroundings, just worrying about getting to my room quickly before anyone came out of my room and saw my late night antics.
  • I made my way around and up the stairs. I could already taste the salt of the chips in my mouth before I even opened the bag. It made my mouth water.
  • I watched each step I took, making sure not to run into anything. I was so close to my room and I couldn't make any wrong move. Getting caught now was not an option. I quietly opened my door when suddenly... I heard it. The floor boards creaked.
