  • We want Proportional representation because that is the only way its fair! We also want a two house government besides one. A senate and house of representations.
  • Small States
  • We want equal representation because it gives everyone an equal chance to be heard. We also only want one house of government.
  • We will have two houses to make up the government. The House of Representatives which will be the lower house of congress and the Senate which will be the upper house of congress. This type of government is called Bicameral.
  • Great Compromise
  • Southern States
  • We want slaves counted on population to determine representation, but we do not want to have to pay taxes for slaves.
  • Northern States
  • Southern States
  • We do not want slaves counted as population to determine representation, but if slaves were to be counted we would be in favor to pay taxes on slaves.
  • Northern States
  • 3/5 Compromise
  • We will have 3/5 of the slaves be counted as population in determining representation to the House of Representatives. Along with that we will have 3/5 of the slaves will be counted to determine taxes.
