Storyboard Text

  • As a big state we should receive representation based on the amount of people we have in our state so that the amount of votes is proportional to the population.
  • Every state should receive the same amount of representation. It would not be fair because all of us small states would be outvoted every time by the big states.
  • We shall create two houses, to satisfy both big and small states. The senate will have two senators for each state. The House of Representatives will be proportional to the people.
  • Slaves should not be counted for the population in a state. They are slaves not citizens so they shouldn't be counted as citizens.
  • Slaves are still people and they live in our state so they should be counted as a person. In result, we should revive more representation.
  • We will count slaves as 3/5 as a person, to settle the disagreement. It will now be more fair for both slave states and non-slave states.
