Storyboard Text

  • Evaporation and convection (when water vapor rises) are caused by the heated air, the sun, and buoyancy!
  • buoyancy causes less dense things to float.
  • sun makes the energy for the water cycle
  • Condensation is where the water vapor cools and turns liquid or ice forming clouds.
  • gravity pulls the rain and snow down to the ground
  • Precipitation is when the water droplets get so heavy that they fall from the clouds as a liquid commonly known as rain or snow.
  • The last of the more important steps is surface run off or infiltration/ground run off which is where gravity pulls the water down hill to oceans and lakes.
  • water cycle
  • Then the cycle restarts and goes over and over and over again!
  • You can share this with your family and friends but just remember the water cycle is all around us it just isn't a fast pase funtion.
