What I Have Learned in School

Storyboard Text

  • What I've Learned in School
  • By Kelsey Sheets
  • In kindergarten, I learned how to cut and paste... I also complained to my mom about it at home.
  • Momma, my fingers are sore.
  • Don't complain, Lee. your fingers will be fine.
  • But Momma, why do I have to do work if I already know how to do it.
  • In first grade, I learned that I had to do things I didn't want to do or that I thought were unnecessary. And of course, I complained about it.
  • Ma'am, your daughter is not doing her work in class...
  • In second grade, I learned that sometimes people didn't like you just because you didn't understand something, and I cried (quietly this time).
  • Why don't you get it Kelsey?! It's not that hard!
  • I'm sorry.
  • In third grade, I learned that, somehow, life just goes on when someone you love dies because no one else really cares all that much. But I didn't complain.
  • Hahaha yeah! Then her dog jumped over the neighbors fence!
  • Really?! That's crazy!
  • I'm sure he will be home when I get there.
  • In fourth grade, I learned that all kids weren't nice. But I kept my mouth shut because it wasn't a big deal.
  • Who? Kelsey? Yeah I don't talk to her she's ugly.
