  • Conflict
  • There is no way that I can do this project all by myself.
  • Rising Action / Complications
  • I'm halfway done with my project!
  • No way! I have only started one page.
  • How is your project going Jacobi?
  • Umm...
  • Jacobi has a huge project due in Science class in 8 days. The project includes a 6 page lab report, a visual aide and a 3 minute presentation.
  • Climax
  • Hey Ms. Bella, I don't think I can do the project. I'm just not smart enough.
  • Jacobi feels overwhelmed about the amount of work of the project and feels like he is not smart enough to complete it on time.
  • Falling Action
  • You are very smart Jacobi, but you just need help with being organized, but I can help you with that.
  • The next day, Jacobi overhears his classmates talking about how far they have gotten in their project. He becomes disappointed in himself because he hasn't started yet.
  • Resolution or Revelation
  • Excellent Job Jacobi! I am very proud of you.
  • So, Jacobi goes to his teacher Ms. Bella and says that he needs help with his project because he is not smart enough to do it on his own.
  • Ms. Bella reminds Jacobi that he is very smart and has great potential, but he needs to work on his organizational skills. She sits down with him and plans a to-do list to help him balance his work.
  • Not only did Jacobi finish his project on time, but he got a perfect score. All thanks to his developed organizational skills.
